The delegation of Tatarstan was headed by RT State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, having arrived on the eve of festive. The World Congress of Tatars ex.com. chairman Rinat Zakirov was in a list of delegation.

The first day half,  the guests laid flowers to the monument of Abai, made an excursion to a museum of the Nevzorov family, attended oblast specialized ballet school for talented children. In a unique in Kazakhstan Tatar school of arts, which is headed by  deserved worker of  RT culture, RT deserved figure of arts, vice president of «Association of Tatars and Bashkirs in Kazakhstan» Gabdulkhak  Akhunzhanov,  a conversation took place about achievements of educational institutions and its problems.

On island of Polkovnichiy  where people’s celebrations unwrapped, M. Shaimiev opening the festive congratulated the gathered residents and guests on maidan. «Thanks to you that you so kindly and closely meet our delegation since Sabantui –    a traditional  Tatar festive, year by year  is celebrated with a big scale  not only in Russia but all over the world. This year. in  226  places, including compact habitation of Tatars , we have managed to hold Sabantui. This festive, first of all, is needed for communication and friendship,  to learn more about each other», – he said. RT State counselor marked also tolerance in Kazakhstan, economic parameters of the republic and its growing role on the world scene. «This is, undoubtedly, a great merit  of  an outstanding politician Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbaev », – Shaimiev stressed.

In his turn,  akim of the Eastern-Kazakhstan oblast  B. Saparbaev, underlining the main wealth of Kazakhstan nation – his multi-nationality and aspiration to live in  unity and  consent, said: «It is pleasant that Sabantui has already  become  an international festive   in our country,   which is impatiently  expected  and liked». As a remembrance  about visiting Kazakhstan,  head of EKO  presented a collection of verses by Kazakh classic Mukagali Makatov, translated in Tatar by poetess from Almaty Nazilya Usmanova, to M. Shaimiev.

Within the official opening Mintimer Shaimiev  delivered honorable titles of RT deserved artiste and deserved figure of arts  Tatarstan  to docent of Kazakh academy of music Damir Sultanov and director of oblast specialized ballet school for talented children Kamila Ismailova.

It is worth noting that  besides activists of Tatar-Bashkir ECO from regions of Kazakhstan,  the delegations from Kyrgyzstan, China, Altaisky krai and Omsk oblast of the Russian Federation have arrived in Semei. Republic of Tatarstan was presented by Nurlat region, having brought with them an immense exhibition, depicting domestic life and traditions of Tatars. The public tasted with pleasure  dishes of national cuisine, listened to songs, saw photo-display and participated in folk games.

In a traditional wrestling  kuresh, the strongest appeared to be Darkhan Zholamanov  from Pavlodarsk.  The higher guest from Kazan  handed the  victor the main prix – key to a new car «Lada Kalina».
As Association of Tatar and Bashkir national-cultural centers of Kazakhstan informs, a culmination of the festive became  a concert of masters of  arts of Tatarstan and Kazakhstan.
