Conference in Tyumen: Social service in Islam

Conference in Tyumen: Social service in Islam

On November 7, an interregional conference “Social service in Islam” will be held at the Center for Tatar Culture in Tyumen. Researchers from Moscow, Kazan and Tyumen will present their reports on the features of this type of ministry, the practice of religious communities in the Volga region and Siberia, methods and approaches in the implementation of socially significant projects.

Within the framework of the conference, a round table will be organized “Current Issues of Muslim Youth in the Multicultural Space of the Tyumen Region”. Roundtable participants will discuss issues of different aspects of Muslim youth. The event will consider topics:

  • “The relationship of a Muslim with representatives of other faiths and non-religious people”;
  • “The Muslim community of Russia in the light of state-confessional relations: problems and prospects”;
  • “Hijab and education”;
  • “Social networks: limits of permissibility in virtual communication with the opposite sex”;
  • “Interfaith marriage in modern society.”

Islam scholars, historians, theologians, and clergy will take part in the conference and the round table. Among them:

Abdullah Khazrat Abdullin, Imam-Khatib of the Khadija Mosque;

Anwar hazrat Moisha, imam-muezzin of the Khadija mosque;

Abdurrahman hazrat Kamaliyev, imam-muhtasib of the Tyumen region;

Farhat hazrat Macitov, imam-muhtasib of the Yarkovsky district and others.
