Congress of Tatars brings condolences to the relatives and friends of Lilia Karimova

After a long illness, Lilia Gafiyatovna Karimova, director of the Center for Tatar Culture UIAU of the city of Tyumen, passed away.

Karimova Liliya Gafiyatovna began her career in 1993 as an announcer of the Tatar radio in Tobolsk. In 1997, she was invited to work in secondary school No. 15 of Tobolsk as a teacher of the Tatar language. At the same time for 10 years she was the head of the children’s vocal and choreographic ensemble “Ballur” of secondary school No. 15 of Tobolsk.

In 2000, Lilia Gafiyatovna moved to work at the Center for Siberian-Tatar Culture Municipal Institution of Culture in Tobolsk as an artistic director of the department of culture and leisure.

From 2004 to the present, she worked in the Municipal Autonomous Institution of Culture “Center of Tatar Culture” in Tyumen: first, as a deputy director for general issues, and since 2006, she was appointed director.

The Executive Committee of the World Tatars Congress expresses deep condolences to the relatives and friends of Liliya Gafiyatovna. We all mourn the irreparable loss.
