The Religious  Board of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Official Hajj-operator in Tatarstan “DUM RT Hajj” announce a competition among teachers of the Tatar language and literature of the secondary schools of the Republic of Tatarstan “My people, my religion”.

The competition is held to encourage school teachers for their services in  teaching and upbringing of the younger generation, as well as for their special contribution to the preservation and study of the Tatar language, literature and culture. The winners of the competition will be the highest award – a tour to Hajj in 2018. Obligatory conditions for participation in the competition are professional work experience in the specialty of at least 10 years, observance of religious practice in everyday life and the presence of mahram (accompanying male in case of victory in the competition) for women. Accompanying person goes to Hajj at his own expense.

The contest is held in the format of testing for knowledge of the basics of Islam. According to its results, the jury will determine 30 winners of the contest.
