Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, at the personal invitation of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, took part in the iftar, which took place at the Moscow Cathedral Mosque.

 

Also,   deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, members of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, heads of plenipotentiary and permanent representative offices of the regions of the Russian Federation in Moscow, government and public figures, representatives of business circles  have been invited.

 

After reading the words of the Quran, Mufti Shaykh Ravil Gainutdin addressed the audience with oracles on the meaning of the month of Ramadan, on the goals and meanings laid down by the Almighty in this Holy month.

 

“The fast of the month of Ramadan is a trial of the strength of our faith, the mercy of our hearts, the purity of our thoughts and the nobility of our actions. Islam does not restrict a person to fulfilling religious duties, our religion calls on all believers to be active members of society, to serve him in good in the name of creation and development, to fulfill his human and professional duty in the most perfect way, ”said Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin.

For high-ranking guests, the multifaceted activities carried out by the Council of Muftis of Russia and the Religious  Board, cultural and educational, charitable and social programs were presented at the residence of the Religious  Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation.

 

Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin emphasized that behind the active religious, public and scientific activities of the spiritual departments headed by him there is a sincere desire to serve the Muslim Ummah of Russia, a multi-ethnic and multi-religious society and the state for the sake of its prosperity, stability and development.

 

“Thanks to the support of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, the efforts of relevant ministries and departments, legislative bodies of Russia today is a state in which everyone has the freedom of conscience, freedom of religion. In this connection, we have the opportunity to implement a variety of socially oriented projects, to conduct active religious and educational activities, to contribute to strengthening inter-ethnic and inter-religious dialogue in Russian society, promoting harmonious coexistence and good neighborliness of the peoples of Russia “, he underlined by inviting state, public personalities, business representatives to actively participate, work together and partnership.

 

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the international activities of the Council of Muftis of Russia and the Religious  Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, aimed at expanding comprehensive humanitarian cooperation, developing positive relations between various peoples and religious denominations, strengthening interpenetration and mutual enrichment of cultures, presentation of the unique Russian experience of good neighborliness and mutual respect of peoples and followers of traditional Russian religions.

 

The guests of the evening highly appreciated the multi-vector work of the spiritual administrations, the personal contribution of Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin in  developing  the Muslim infrastructure in Russia, strengthening  true values ​​of Islam in Russian society, consisting in peace and creation, and having nothing in common with radicalism and fundamentalism. In their reciprocal welcoming speeches, deputies, senators and prominent public figures who took part in breaking their fast, thanked Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin for consistent and systematic work in Moscow and the regions in the public, humanitarian and religious spheres.

 

During the meeting, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation Rushan hazrat Abbyasov also told the guests about new directions in the work of religious administrations involving active participation of representatives of government departments and agencies, the business community and public figures.

 

Among the honored guests of the evening was  Minister of Economy and Trade of Libya, Dr. Ali Al-Isaui. In his speech, he noted that he was impressed with the multilateral activities of the Muslim community of Russia, wishing further development and prosperity.
