In St. Petersburg, Days of Tatar cuisine held

November 19, with the support of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, the Tatar-Bashkir national-cultural center “Piter Buylary”, together with the restaurant “Marius” opening the Days of Tatar cuisine in St. Petersburg took place. The purpose of the event – the presentation of the national cuisine peculiarities of Tatars and familiarity with the specifics of the preparation of various Tatar dishes.

Cooking of Tatar people is rich with national traditions dating back centuries. Products are known for the originality of cooking, taste and design. Tatar cuisine is not only distinctive and rich, but also very useful from the point of view of modern science of nutrition.

Participation in the program was featured by prominent Tatar figures of St. Petersburg, public organizations of the city and region, as well as ordinary visitors wishing to try and learn something new.

The guests of the event have been addressed by the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Valiullin, he marked that “Russia – a huge multinational state. In this regard, culinary traditions of our country are very diverse. Each of the peoples inhabiting the country has their own culinary traditions. Ethnic cuisine – an integral part of national culture, which helps to maintain the traditions of the people and preserve the cultural heritage, and that the Tatar dishes are distinguished not only by taste, but also the for external beauty, because meals have to deliver a man not only physically, but a spiritual joy as well. And most importantly, any food should be prepared with love, only then it will be tasty and useful. ”

During the event, the master of the Tatar national cuisine Madina Valiullina held a public workshop on cooking dishes of Tatar cuisine. M. Valiullina with youth cherishes secrets of national dishes, which are passed from generation to generation. His skills on the preparation of national dishes, she took over from her mother-in-law, cooking them and her amendments, and making them more personal and contemporary.

The exhibition Tatar cuisine has presented more than 20 kinds of dishes. All the guests were able to enjoy specifics of Tatar cuisine in dishes such as “Soup Shulpa Lamb”,

“Chak-Chak”, “Gubadiya”, “Echpochmak”, “Balesh” and others.

To taste Tatar dishes everyone will be able in a special menu of the restaurant “Marius” in a separate tab “Tatar cuisine”, for a month upon the opening of the event.
