In the Omsk region “Telyak Pairam” held

Siberian Tatars are making every effort to restore and preserve the folk customs and traditions. In this regard, in the village Ollokүl (Bolshiye murly Omsk region) held a national day of Siberian Tatars’ Telyak Pairam “, dedicated to 485 anniversary of the village. Last time this festival was held about 30 years ago when drought on Lake Arzano (Irchan)happened, when the village was still part of subsistence farming. Good wishes of the telyak villagers were then heard, and after a long drought a torrential rain came. Because of problems with electricity and a rain the event started later, but people went and waited for the opening celebration.

Celebration was attended by singers from Omsk Rinat Ixanov and Fagilya Chumarova, ensemble “Syaylyan” from Ulenkulya, creative team from M-Poselsky Center for Culture and Leisure. The holiday-payrama included: concert, festive of good wishes (Telyak) for prosperity, well-being and health of local residents and all Siberian Tatars, contests and games for children. In an impromptu summer yurt locals and visitors were treated to a dish of Siberian Tatars “Pishparmak” cooked lamb. With the help of resident form Bolshereche Pyotr Britanov home front veterans were presented gifts.

Thanks to Bolshoe active residents of Ollokul village and employees of M-Poselsky CCD for supporting the first officially holding Siberian Tatars holiday “Telyak Pairam.”
