Moscow hosted the third festival named after Fuat Mansurov

May 25th, at the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music, the third youth music festival in Russia and the CIS countries named after Fuat Mansurov “Talents of the Commonwealth.”

From the Republic of Tatarstan, the event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin and Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin. Note that Ravil Akhmetshin is also chairman of the festival organizing committee.

The project is being implemented the third year by the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after L.V. Nikolaev, artistic director and chief conductor of which is a disciple F.S. Mansurov, Vasily Valitov.

More than thirty musicians have become for three years the winners of the Festival “Talents of the Commonwealth.” The project is named after the prominent conductor of our time, the People’s Artist of Russia and Tatarstan supported by major

figures of the national musical culture – friends and colleagues of Maestro Mansurov – soloists of the Bolshoi Theatre Zurab Sotkilava, Elena Zelenskaya, Makvala Karsashvilli, Oleg Kulko g and many others. Fuat Mansurov Shakirovich – the only musician having worked more than 40 years as conductor of the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. June 11, this year will celebrate the fifth anniversary of his death.

The idea of the festival is in scope of creative connections of Fuat Mansurov. The concert program annually includes young talents from regions of Russia and CIS countries, gaining possibility to perform at one of the best concert halls of Moscow, accompanied by a large orchestra.

This year, musicians from Moscow, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Republic of Kalmykia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, South Korea, Japan have taken part in a gala concert. Every year the festival is expanding its geographic boundaries. For the first time the Crimea was presented at the event. Young lady singer Fatma Dzhapparova performed from the republic.

Republic of Tatarstan has been presented by the pianist Ekaterina Chebotareva, a member of the Composers’ Union of Russia and Tatarstan Zulfiya Raupova and disciple of F.S. Mansurov, RT Honored Artist Anna Gulishambarova that

stood behind the conductor’s stand of Youth Symphony Orchestra and performed several works of the concert program. Katerina Chebotareva is a laureate of international competitions, studying in grade 11 of music college at the Kazan Conservatory.

The event memory of prominent cultural figure was visited by relatives of F.S. Mansurov, friends and acquaintances, students and admirers of his talent. Among them, the daughter Marina Mansurova, a friend of Fuat Mansurov Academician Nikolai Fudin, Honored Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Svetlana Zakharova and others.
