Muslim Tatars of Adelaide celebrated Mawlid al-Nabi

In South Australia a celebration on the occasion of Mawlid al-Nabi was held. Spouses Zia and Aisha Maski with the imam of the local Tatar Diaspora Bulat Ishmukhametov made up a program of the event.

A festival has been opened by Bulat Hazrat, having read Qur’an. Then the disciples of Tatar children Sunday school performed. They told poems about the Almighty Allah to Muhammad (s.a.v.), and how to behave as a Muslim. The older boys sang Arabic medih “O Allah!”.

In addition, women’s team sang a song called “Ak Kalfak”, Tatar munadzhat “Moberak zhomga con.” Head of the ensemble Musharraf Valif noted that the munadzhat they performed for the first time, but now it would be another focus of their work.

Guests of the event watched a 10-minute film in Tatar language about the Prophet, the basis of which was taken from audi-book by Rabit Batulla “Life of the Prophet Muhammad.” It is noteworthy that the organizers of the evening printed a special brochure with the program activities and salavats.
