Paris awaits guests

From October 16 to 18, in Paris, the 2nd Congress of the International Association of Tatars of the EU “European Alliance of Tatars ” is due to be held. The congress is expected to involve 44 delegates from 17 the EU countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Germany, Holland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, France, Finland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Estonia.

The agenda of the congress includes:

  • Welcoming the guests of honor;
  • Progress reports by Chairman of the International Association of Tatars of the EU “European Alliance of Tatars” F. N. Sharipova (“Problems of preservation of the national identity of the Tatars of Europe”);
  • Speeches by the delegates;
  • Report by Chairman of the Audit Committee of the International Association of Tatars of the EU “European Alliance of Tatars” K.Kurmakaeva;
  • On the plan of work for 2016.,
  • Approval of the logo of the European Sabantui;
  • On changes in the Charter of the ATA;
  • The election of the governing bodies of the International Association of Tatars of the EU “European Alliance of Tatars”;
  • Adoption of the resolution of the Congress;

Awards.

It is expected participation and welcome by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in France A. K. Orlov; Member of the EP Waldemar Tomaszewski; Deputy Director of the Department on work with compatriots abroad, the RF MFA K. V. Klimovsky; Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation R.K.Akhmetshin; deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the World Congress of Tatars R.Z.Zakirov.

During the congress presentations on the following topics are planned:

  • “The role of the mother tongue in preservation of ethnic and cultural identity”;
  • “The moral and socio-psychological aspects of the consolidation of civil society organizations”;
  • “Ethno-cultural aspects of interaction with historical homeland of Tatarstan”;
  • “On the Development of Wrestling on belts in Europe”;
  • “Interaction of Tatar organizations and local authorities of the country of residence”;
  • “The interaction with the public organizations of Russian compatriots in the country of residence”;
  • “General History – General Memory.”

As part of the Congress the delegates will take part in the opening of the exhibition by the French and Russian painters; meeting with the creators of the film “War of the Unforgiven” and watching a movie; concert by artists of Tatarstan Republic and France.
