Presentation of books on local lore studies

The Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars together with the Society of Regional Studies of the Republic of Tatarstan holds a presentation of historical and regional studies publications.

In particular, the presentation of the collective work “Satysh-Gasyrlar Asha 1170-2017 еллар” and books by V.V. Danilov “Khuzha Hesen – minem gomer bishegem” (Khozesanovo – my cradle).

The presentation is held within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Regional Studies of the Republic of Tatarstan under the Executive Committee of the WCT in connection with the preparation of the All-Russian Forum of Local Lore Studies to be held in April 2018.

The presentation of historical and regional studies will take place on January 26, 2018 at 14.00. in the building of the Executive Committee of the WCT (Karl Marx, 38/5).

The book “Khuzha Khusen – minem gomer bishegem” (Khozesanovo – my cradle) presents archival and historical materials dating back to 1710. The main work is devoted to baptized Tatars living in the Kaibitsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The facts and documents confirming the compulsory nature of the conversion of the ancestors of baptized Tatars to Orthodoxy are given, many other issues of vital activity of this long-suffering spiritual and confessional group of the Tatar people are covered. The book is intended for historians, ethnographers and all who are interested in the history of the peoples of the Volga region. The book uses photographs from the personal archive of the author.

The book “Satysh – Gasyrlar Asha. 1170-2017 elar »is dedicated to one of the most ancient settlements of Tyulyachinsky and Sabinskiy districts of Satyshevo village. The book tells the story of the village and its inhabitants, their traditions and rituals, the difficult fate and achievements of the population.
