Problems of the Tatar public organizations of the Far Eastern District  discussed in Khabarovsk

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chairman of the National Council of the World Tatar Congress Vasil Shaikhraziev met with heads of Tatar public organizations of the Far Eastern Federal District as part of his working trip to Khabarovsk.

At the beginning of the meeting Vasil Shaikhraziev outlined the goals of such meetings in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

– At the meeting of the Presidium, I was assigned the task of holding meetings in the federal districts to resolve various issues that arise on the ground. Such meetings have already been held in the Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions. Today a meeting was held with the Deputy Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory, he said.

Then, due to the fact that there is not much time, he suggested immediately turning to speeches and outlining those problems that exist in the province and voice their proposals for their solution.

The representative of the Khabarovsk city national-cultural autonomy of the Tatars Khabar Sarverdin Tuktarov took the floor first:

– Today much is being done for the development of the Far East. Tatarstan is the locomotive of the Russian Federation. Therefore, I would like the republic to announce its business mission in the Far East. We have our own businessmen. We need to put them together and make connections.

Vasil Shaikhraziev noted that there are agreements on cooperation between the entities. And you can work within their framework.

The Chairman of the National Council instructed that, within the framework of working visits to Tatarstan, delegations from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation also include heads of Tatar public organizations in their composition. According to him, in the future and he can expand the composition of his delegation when visiting the regions of Russia. For example, to invite representatives of the Agency for Investment Development.

Also, within the framework of the meeting were issues of the building for the Tatar center in Vladivostok, the possibility of sending students to practice in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, organization of news offices  in the regions and issues of tourism development.

In addition, it was decided on April 27 in Komsomolsk-on-Amur to hold a report and election meeting of the Congress of the Far Eastern Tatars. This year the organization celebrates its 9th anniversary. Vasil Shaikhraziev and representatives of Tatar organizations will take part in this event. But before that, on April 26, they plan to visit the opening of the monument to G.Tukai and the square of his name in Sakhalin.

At the conclusion of the meeting Vasil Shaykhraziev called for active participation in the presidential elections on March 18.

A total of 39 503 Tatars live in the Far Eastern Federal District. Of these, 8,122 are in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 2,374 in the Kamchatka Territory, 10,640 in the Primorsky Territory, 7,336 in the Khabarovsk Territory, 1,415 in the Magadan Region, 4,880 in the Sakhalin Region, 3406 in the Amur Region, Autonomous Oblast – 879, Chukotka Autonomous District
