Past Sunday Tatars from a hot California dedicated to outdoor activities. Picnic at the Silicon Valley was held first time.

The day at the park Vasona in Los Gatos gathered more than 40 people. Most of them are young IT workers in Silicon Valley, as well as couples who have been here for decades.

The event was organized by the Tatar youth organization in North America “Kardeshlek”, which unites the Tatar youth of the United States and Canada. Activist of organization from California Zukhra Salakhutdinova said that the event was held on “Cheers.”

“Picnic was a great success. All have come for a picnic with their own meal. Who could as me, the organizer, cooked 6 different kinds of balesh. Participants enjoyed an action so much that they asked to organize such events more often. This is the main indicator of our work, “said Zukhra.

It should be noted that the Tatar youth spends all events without alcohol. And this meeting was no exception. Some come with a whole family, including their children. Many people want to inculcate in children the Tatar language and culture.

The event was attended by representatives of the old generation of Tatars living in San Francisco since the mid 20th century. President of the local community ATA Turan Apakan came to the picnic.
