Tatars at the ceremony dedicated to the Day of National Unity of the peoples of the Penza region

A solemn event dedicated to the Day of National Unity of the peoples of the Penza region was held at the Penza regional library named after M.Y. Lermontov, November 3, 2015.

The festival gathered about five hundred representatives of national autonomies of the Penza region. For the guests in the foyer of the library, the exhibitions of folk art items, costumes and cuisine were working. Tatar autonomy was represented by chairman Akjitov B.U., chairman of the women’s public organization “Ak kalfak” Elmira Vasilyeva and her team: chairman of the cooperative “Altyn Kullar ” Firdaus Tumerkina with her Tatar pastries, site editor Leyla Trengulova and our permanent assistant – 9th grade students from the village Kikino of the Kamensky rayon of the Penza region that welcomed visitors by Tatar song and chak-chak … The exhibition presented the Tatar literature, embroidery, Tatar costumes, products of national cuisine …

The official part of the event was opened in a central hall of the cultural institutions. In the name and on behalf of the governor Ivan Belozertsev the audience was welcomed by the Acting Chairman of the regional government Valery Savin. In his speech, he noted that the Penza region enjoys rich cultural and spiritual traditions, it is a home to more than a hundred nationalities and each of them has a unique world, carefully preserves its own characteristics.

“But we are all united by one thing – sincere love for Russia and for our native land. We have one earth, one destiny, common challenges, common future.

All the problems that exist in the region today, we can only solve together, helping each other, “- is said in the statement by the governor Ivan Belozertsev.

He also noted that the friendship of the peoples of the Penza region is time-tested, and each year it will only get stronger.

For significant contribution to the preservation and strengthening of interethnic unity, peace and harmony, enhance the spiritual and moral and cultural traditions Valeri Savin presented to representatives of cultural, public and social organizations, honor and gratitude from the governor of the Penza region, including also Bakir Akjitov.
