Vasil Shaykhraziev, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Tatar Congress met with Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region P.V.Krekov. The meeting was also attended by  Permanent Representative of Tatarstan in the Sverdlovsk Region, Khaidar Gilfanov. He voiced issues that concern the Tatar public of the Sverdlovsk region and whose solution is impossible without the help of the authorities.

Khaidar Gilfanov outlined the issue  of a complete set of educational and methodical literature in the Tatar language. School libraries are not equipped with literature  provided by the curriculum. He stressed the need to define a structural unit that will be in charge of issues of ethno-cultural education in educational institutions.

Also,  Permanent Representative of Tatarstan in the Sverdlovsk region asked for help in organizing and conducting cultural and educational events of an ethno-cultural nature – the regional competition “Living Classics”, the Jalilov readings, the competition of classrooms for native languages, the competition of school museums, etc.

And also, Khaidar Gilfanov outlined the issue of providing premises free of charge for holding socially significant non-commercial mass cultural events.

And also during the meeting they raised the issue of rural clubs. In Tatar villages there are 25 club institutions. Most of them are located in old premises requiring repair. Khaidar Gilfanov voiced a request to assist in the construction of cultural institutions in large Tatar villages.

In terms of sports and youth policy, issues have been voiced such as the allocation of premises for the Sverdlovsk Regional Federation of wrestling “Kuresh” for training with children and adolescents, as well as allocate the rate of the coach in Yekaterinburg. In addition, they asked to find an opportunity to purchase a wrestling carpet for sambo lessons and to allocate 2 hours a week for free in one of the halls of Yekaterinburg for regular sports games for young people.

Deputy Governor Pavel Krekov noted that measures would be taken to resolve all issues raised at the meeting. Including the issue of clubs will be in the spotlight. For events, Tatars, as well as other indigenous peoples of the Sverdlovsk region, will be provided a hall in the Palace of Creativity for events. According to P.Krekov, the Ministries of Education, Culture and Sport of the region will receive relevant instructions.
