The VIII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum began in St. Petersburg

The VIII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum began its work in St. Petersburg, which brought together thousands of experts and professional figures from around the world in the Northern capital. Artists, directors, musicians, public and political figures, entrepreneurs and professors will discuss the cultural agenda and forge productive relationships.

Events will take place at all significant venues of the city. As  the past year, the principal  headquarters of the State Hermitage will become the main one. An important point of attraction will be the Central Exhibition Hall “Manege”. Events are conditionally divided into two main streams: professional and public.

The professional stream includes business meetings in the form of an open dialogue. Culture specialists will exchange experience and establish mutually beneficial communication. The public stream will be represented by open lectures, master classes, performances, concerts, etc. Within the framework of the forum, a series of events “Jazz Across Borders” will be held, at which representatives of Russian and world jazz will meet.

This year’s guest country is China. The special program will include discussion and concert events with the participation of world-class figures and experts in the field of culture and art, as well as creative groups and performers. So, for example, in the Main Headquarters of the Hermitage, among other things, a concert of the People’s Republic of China “From the Shores of the Sungari to the Shores of the Neva” will be held.

The business platform of the cultural forum this year will be anniversary – it will be held for the fifth time. Main topics: “Fundraising strategies for cultural organizations and cultural projects”, “Implementation of a national cultural project through the created sports infrastructure in the regions of the country”, “The art of producing in Russia and abroad”.

A large delegation from the Republic of Tatarstan takes part in the forum, headed by  Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, which includes heads of theaters, museums and other cultural institutions.

As part of the forum program, a plenary meeting was held in the Atrium of the Hermitage General Staff, in which Renat Valiullin, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, took part
