One of these days in Kazan, First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation (Moscow) A.Ch.Ahtareev handed 4 Tatarstaners a medal “In memory of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Musa Jalil” and a letter of thanks from daughter of the poet-hero Ch.M.Zalilova.

February 15, Tatarstan, Moscow and many regions of the Russian Federation and abroad celebrated 110 years since the birth of the son of the Tatar people, a front-line poet, Hero of the Soviet Union, Lenin Prize laureate Musa Jalil (M.M.Zalilov – 1906-1944).

On the eve of the anniversary, by decision of Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation and the “Association of Tatarstan” a medal “In memory of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Musa Jalil” was established. The obverse side of the coin depicts M. Jalil in a form of political instructor, on the reverse side – the words of the poet: “Live so that after death not to die.” The certificate for the medal was signed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, RT Plenipotentiary Representative of RF R.K.Ahmetskhin. Medals are awarded to people who have contributed to the preservation of the memory and legacy of M. Jalil. The first medals were awarded in Moscow on February 15, the day of the 110th anniversary of the poet-hero, and will be presented in celebrations for 2016.

Recently, in Kazan, First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation A.Ch.Akhtareev presented the medal “In memory of the 110th anniversary of the birth of Musa Jalil” to four Tatarstaners. In addition, the awarded were handed letters of gratitude from the daughter of Hero of the Soviet M. Jalil Chulpan Museevna Zalilova, in which she thanks , “they remember and honor the memory of the poet-hero, appreciate and remember his poems, his message to us, the descendants, written by blood of the heart “.

The award was delivered to the Tatarstaners for the study and promotion of the life and work of the poet-hero M. Jalil, the contribution to the restoration of the name and memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, patriotic, international and moral education of the younger generation, activity in the Academy of Military History of the Russian Federation (RF AVIN). Among the recipients – Head of the museum-memorial of the Great Patriotic War in the Kazan Kremlin, a corresponding member of the RF AVIN M.V.Cherepanov, Head of Department of History of the Tatar-Bulgarian civilization History Institute RT AS after Sh.Mardzhani, a veteran of the fighting in Afghanistan, merited scientist of RT, academician of the RF AVIN A.A.Burkhanov, director of the Department of Applied Studies and Projects Department of Internal Policy Office of the President, a member of the fighting in Afghanistan, Colonel, member -Correspondent of RF AVIN R. B. Gaynetdinov and Chief adviser of the Department of culture and development of RT Cabinet of Ministers of languages, a member of the Union of writers of Tatarstan, poet G. G. Gilmanov.
