A working group to develop the Strategy for  Development of the Tatar People  set up

Today in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Tatar Congress Vasil Shykhraziev  has  held a meeting on the Strategy for the Development of the Tatar People. Representatives of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, the World Congress of Tatars and various state bodies of the republic gathered around the round table.

The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the development of the document. A working group has been  set up.

Let’s remind, Rustam Minnikhanov has addressed with the annual address to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Support of the Tatars living outside Tatarstan and the country in matters of preserving the language, culture and traditions is our constitutional responsibility. The past congresses of the World Congress of Tatars actualized these issues.

There is a need for closer interaction between the state authorities responsible for this work, the World Congress of Tatars and the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars with the relevant structures on the ground.

It is necessary to develop various formats of activities, including the expansion of the «Ana   tele»  TV educational network.

We are  looking not good  by the fact that the adoption of the announced Development Strategy of the Tatar people is delayed. It should be a document that consolidates the nation on the basis of self-identification and commonality of views on the past, present and future of the Tatar people. Let me remind you that the center of responsibility in this work is the World Congress of Tatars, “reads the annual  address by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
