“Alla birsa, in a wide release you will see it”: The film “Mullah” is prepared for the tour around Russia

The film “Mullah”, shot by the tandem of Ramil Fazliev and Amir Galiaskarov, already in November will be launched. Shows were announced the day before during the XIV Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.
According to the producer of the film and the author of the idea of the film, Marat Akhmetshin, the rental is planned only in Russia. First of all, in the places of residence of the Tatars – our republic, Bashkiria, Moscow, St. Petersburg. Akhmetshin notes that it will not be easy to break through, as Mulla will have to work with cinemas where large networks already exist. However, the work, nevertheless, will be carried out.
“We will do anyways, and, Alla Birsa, you will see it on a wide release,” the producer summed up.
Let’s note, “Mullah” is a film based on the play by playwright Tufan Minnullin, the only Tatarstan movie presented this year at the Kazan Film Festival. The film is declared in nominations for the best director’s work, script, female and male roles, as well as camera work.
By the way, the picture was previously awarded to the “Golden Sarmatian Lion”. The main character of the film – Asfandiyar, receives an offer to become a mullah in the village. The businessman who built the mosque speaks about this possibility to him. Arriving in the village, the young mullah sees the problem of soullessness of the residents.
