In the evening of September 11th, the XIII Kazan International Muslim Film Festival received awards for the first time in a new category “National Cinema”.
The best feature film in the new category “National Cinema” is the animation tape by the studio “Tatarfilm”. The prize was given to the head of the studio – director Sergei Kiatrov. The prize was presented by a member of the selection committee Adil Khaibullin.
The best national documentary film is “Nadzhiba ” by Tatarstan director Almaz Nurgaliyev. Receiving the award, Nurgaliyev thanked relatives and members of his family, as well as the TV channel “TNV”, the former deputy head of the channel – Milyausha Aytuganova and director of the TV channel Naila Sabitova for help in the work on the film. Separate gratitude to the author expressed the daughter of Tufan Minnullin and Najiba Ihsanova (the heroine of the film) Alfiya Minnullina “for granted creative freedom.”
The prize for the “Best National Film” was presented by the festival agent Ivan Zolotukhin. The winner of the award – Valeriya Girenko (Russia, Tatarstan), director of the film “Diagnosis” thanked her teacher Julia Akhmetzyanova and mother. “If you meet an animal that needs help, help it. Nobody will love you more faithfully than that, “said the laureate.
The best national short film was recognized the work by Oksana Sinchugova “Prodigal Son”, raising biblical issues. “Dialogue of cultures took place in the fact that our film on Orthodox themes was appreciated at the Muslim Film Festival,” she said and stressed that this film is a debut and an independent film.
We remind that the nomination has been established under the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and provides monetary rewards.
