Congratulation by the mufti of Tatarstan on the holiday of Kurban-Bayram
August 20, 2018
Assalamu aleykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakyatuhu
Dear brothers and sisters!
On behalf of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan and on my own behalf, I heartily congratulate you on the holiday of Eid al-Adha! May Allah Almighty accept all our good deeds, multiply the reward for worship and reward His boundless mercy in both worlds! May this wonderful holiday bring to every home joy, peace, well-being and blessing of Allah Ta’ala.
Kurban-Bayram is a great holiday. The Prophet Muhammad himself (sallaylahu aleyi vassalam) exalted him, saying: “The best day before Allah Almighty is the first day of the holiday of Kurban Bairam.” His story is directly related to the event that occurred with the prophet Ibrahim, who obeyed the will of Allah Almighty was ready to sacrifice his long-awaited the only son. But the Lord is merciful and just. Convinced of the obedience of Ibrahim, He said: “Verily, this is an obvious trial! You have successfully overcome it. ” And the victim’s son was replaced with a sacrificial animal, and Ibrahim was given a happy birth of his second son. So God showed: to become closer to God, a human sacrifice is not required, but unconditional fulfillment of divine injunctions and selflessness in the way of truth are required. In other words, the annual sacrifice of animals is a symbolic expression of willingness to sacrifice all of their possessions with those in need for the sake of the contentment of Allah Almighty.
How important is the sacrifice, just as important is the observance of the principles and purposes during the sacrifice. That is why during the holiday of Eid al-Adha, a wise and generous person should strive to bring joy, good and good to others, hurry to give alms, present the meat of the sacrificial animal to those who need it, and most importantly – to find contentment of Allah Almighty and spiritual satisfaction . Thus, the rite of sacrifice helps to strengthen unity and friendship between people.
May Allah on this day allow us to sincerely perform a prayer so that we feel the joy of the soul and the manifestation of His mercy. I ask the Almighty to accept our sacrifice (kurban), hajj of Tatarstan pilgrims and that they all return to their native land alive and healthy! I ask the Creator to send us his blessing, happiness and health, and peace and prosperity for our country and the Republic of Tatarstan! Happy holiday, dear Muslims!
