In Magnitogorsk, the mother of five children was recognized the winner of the Tatar pie contest

The past Sunday winter day was filled with joy and amazing flavors of national cuisine! And all because the department of the Tatar culture of the Magnitogorsk House of Friendship of Peoples held an annual holiday – the contest of the Tatar pie!

As you know, no Tatar feast is complete without songs and dances. And while a very competent and strict jury consisting of  director of the House of Friendship Tatyana Ivanovna Bragina,  chairman of the Tatars Rukhi autonomy, Kadiminur Tagirov, and the famous historian of Magnitogorsk, Salavat Akhmetzyanov, has  determined the best cake of the most delicious, the guests of the holiday enjoyed spiritual food. The Sumbelya ensemble and the Syuyumbike soloists Nuria Khaliullina, Saida Akhmitova and Shamil Akhmetshin sparkled with their talents. A mischievous  dance was presented to us by smiling Aliya Zigangirova. The musical sketch “Salkin tea”  was performed by Ilina Kanbekova and with the participation of the dance group “Dulkyn” (headed by Tatiana Suyarko) and the ensemble “Syuyumbike” further provoked numerous participants in  a culinary contest. And in the era of past centuries, we were immersed by members of the women’s club “Khanym”, performing a staid old Tatar dance.

In such a warm and homely environment, our annual competition, in which about 40 people took part, flew unnoticed.

All our hostesses were awarded with certificates and valuable gifts. And, believe me, it was very difficult to determine the winners, because each participant has her own special secret, and each dish was prepared with great love and care. But nevertheless, the jury was generous and fair – from an incredible variety of gastronomic masterpieces defined a whole list of nominations: “The sweetest”, “The most exquisite”, “The most original”, “The most festive”, “The most fabulous”, “The most luxurious” The most national ”and even the“ most male pie ”!

And the lucky ones, who took the first three prizes, received as a gift  the pot of the famous fragrant Bashkir honey – three-liter, two-liter and one liter, which the rational leader of the national-cultural autonomy Kadimyn Tagirov prepared ahead of time.

As it turned out, the mother of five children, pupils of the Tatar language group – Anastasia Bikmukhametova was recognized the winner of the contest. That was for her, but for everyone, a real surprise!

Well, and the lovely couple of hosts – the spouses Ilyas and Al’bina Gafarovs   brought wonderful, bright, warm and humorous notes of a loving family atmosphere to the New Year’s Eve celebration.
