Meeting with local historians of Moscow

In Moscow, at the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the RPO “Society of Tatar Regional Studies of the Republic of Tatarstan”, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan A.A. Burkhanov and activists of the local history movement in Moscow. The meeting was attended by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan A.Ch.Akhtareev, Head of the Public Relations Sector of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation N.R.Akmaeva, Chairman of the Society of Tatar Regional Studies of Moscow, Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Mass Communications of the Moscow Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation T. A. Khisamov, the author of local history books. Professor G.А.Bautdinov and employees of the Plenipotentiary of RT.
During the meeting, the main issues and directions for the development of Tatar regional studies in Moscow, the Moscow Region and the regions of Central Russia were discussed. Special attention was paid to the organization of regional studies at the regional and All-Russian levels. Moscow local lore highly appreciated the organization and holding of the All-Russian scientific-practical conference “Ethnotourism and Local History in the Tatar World”, which was held in November of this year. in Kazan on the initiative of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars and the Society of Tatar Local History Tatarstan.
Moscow local historians have expressed a desire to participate in all local history events, which will be held in Kazan and other regions of the Russian Federation and in the future with the support of the WCT. Actual issues of Tatar people’s development strategy, joint publishing of books and conducting regional studies activities jointly with regional historians of Tatarstan and the Moscow region were also raised. Issues of writing the history of Tatar villages and urban settlements in the Moscow region and Central Russia, and regional history conferences in Moscow and Moscow region were also discussed as well as solemn events connected with anniversaries and memory of famous scientists and local historians of the Moscow region.
In particular, the question was raised about the 80th anniversary of the famous philosopher, orientalist and historian, author of books on the history of the Golden Horde and the problems of relations between man and nature, E.S. Kulpin-Gubaidullin (September 21, 1939-June 23, 2015).
Then A.A. Burkhanov was received by Head of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation – Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan R. Akhmetshin. Ravil Kalimullovich stressed the importance and timeliness of cooperation between Tatar local historians of the Moscow region and Tatarstan.
