Preparations for the 10th anniversary of the formation of the National-cultural autonomy of the Tatars of Bashkortostan have started in Ufa

At a meeting of the regional public organization National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars of the Republic of Bashkortostan held on January 17 in Ufa, the issues of holding events dedicated to the 10th anniversary of autonomy in May of this year were discussed.

According to the chairman of the Council, Rimma Utyasheva, the event will be held in the format of a joint extended meeting of the Federal National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars, the National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars of Bashkortostan and the Assembly of the Peoples of Bashkortostan. Heads of regional national-cultural autonomies and other Tatar public organizations from more than forty regions of the country will be invited. Within the framework of the forum program, a plenary session will be held, the meeting participants will be able to attend the festival “Balesfest”, traditionally held in the Buzdyak district of the republic.

Also,  at the Council meeting, the results of the organization’s work over the past year were reviewed, and further prospects were outlined. In her report, Rimma Utyasheva noted that in 2018, measures to preserve the national traditions of the Tatars were held in 10 districts of Bashkortostan. In Burayevsky, Dyurtyulinsky, Belebeevsky, Chekmagushevsky Ufa districts, events were held in honor of the Year of the Family in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Members of the Council also reviewed and approved the organization’s work plan for the current year
