Presentation of the second enlarged edition of the book “Tatars in the north of Kazakhstan”

The North Kazakhstan regional Friendship House hosted a presentation of the second enlarged edition of the book “Tatars in the north of Kazakhstan”, edited by the journalist, honorary citizen of the SKO, cultural worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Raisa Bikmukhametova. The meeting was attended by head of the secretariat of the regional ANK N. Salimov, the leaders of Kurdish l, Slavic, German and Tatar cultural centers, activists of NCC “Duslyk” and authors of the articles included in the volume.

Welcoming the assembled Raisa Garifovna Bikmukhametova noted that more than 10 years have passed since that day, when I saw the first book, which received a wide recognition of readership. The book would sold well not only in our region and the country but also the world. It is read by Diaspora living in Russia, Canada, the United States and other countries. It has become a table book for students of NKSU, studying local history and the history of ethnic groups. It emphasizes the role of one of the first authors and supporters of such a long-term project S.M. Presnyakov – local historian, veteran, one of the compilers of encyclopedias of Northern Kazakhstan, who wrote a detailed article on the history of the Diaspora in the north of

Kazakhstan and representatives who have contributed to the development of a minor motherland – the North Kazakhstan.

It so happened that during that time the material was re-accumulated that required to release the second revised edition of the book “Tatars in the north of Kazakhstan.” The author was able to successfully implement this plan with the assistance of the writing team of volunteers and technical staff of the publishing house “Northern Kazakhstan”, including member of regional the National Cultural Center “Duslyk” Vadim Mudarisov. They were expressed warm thanks and recognition.
