Solemn evening dedicated to the Day of Tatarstan in Uzbekistan

On September 23, a solemn evening of the Tatar language, culture and art dedicated to the Tatarstan Day and the 26th anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan took place in Tashkent at the “Turkiston” Palace of Arts in the framework of the Republican festival “Uzbekistan is our common home”. The evening was organized by the Tatar Public Cultural and Educational Center (TPCEC) in Tashkent with the assistance of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Relations with Other Countries, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of official bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Tashkent, national cultural centers of the republic, representatives of the media, creative intelligentsia, compatriots and youth took part in a solemn event in Tashkent.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan Tyurdenev V.L., Vice  Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council “Milli Shura” Vasil  Shaykhraziev, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Tokpuz City Council of Tashkent  Giniyatullin R.A., Chairman of the Board of the Regional Office of the City of Tashkent, Nabiullin R.KH. made  welcoming speeches and congratulations to the audience.

Shaykhraziev V.G. congratulated compatriots on the Day of Tatarstan and presented medals and letters of thanks from the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and souvenirs to the chairman and activists of  the   TPCEC  of  the  city of Tashkent. For the activities aimed at preserving and developing the national culture, customs, traditions, language of the Tatar people, the nation’s consolidatio: Piriazeva N.N., Kasymbekov T. Zh., Tukhvatullin, R.G., Mamleev R.R., Nigmatullin T .S., Kuramshin A.G., Begishev A.E., Abdurakhmanov R.R., Ibragimov N.U., Uzikayev R.K.  have been awarded.

Ambassador of the Russian Federation Tyurdenev V.L. in his speech pointed to the leading role of the Republic of Tatarstan in all areas of the economic, social and cultural life of the Russian Federation, as well as the active role of the Tatar community centers in maintaining and preserving cultural traditions among compatriots in Uzbekistan.

Speakers also marked  that respect for languages, culture, customs and traditions of all nations and nationalities living on its territory is provided in Uzbekistan, favorable conditions for their development are created, opportunities for the realization of national spiritual and cultural needs are provided.

After a solemn part of the evening, a large concert program was held in which guests from Kazan – the State Folk Music Ensemble under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Faizrakhmanova A., People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Temirgaleeva H., Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Vagizov M., laureates of international competitions Rustem Nasibullin, family duet Azat and Alina Karimov  performed.

The audience was also pleased with the popular Uzbek performers of Tatar songs and dance groups, including Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Bikbulatov R., Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Bashkortostan, soloist of the Uzbek State Choir Haldarova F., Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Manyapova R ., Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Khakimov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tatarstan D. Minyaeva, laureates of international , Gizatullina R. and Hannanova G., a graduate of the Delphic Games K. Bahtiyarov, popular singers R. Gainanov, S. Galeev, M. Maksudov, I. Gimranova, “Dyslyk”, “Laysan” Tatar ensembles, “Yashlek”, Tatar Folk Folk Ensemble “Izge Nur” under the artistic direction of the laureate of the All-Union Tatar Song Competition “Tatar Zhyry 89” Bukharova M. and the folk dance ensemble “Edelweiss” from the House of Culture “Metallurg” Almalyk under the direction of Koldakova  Yu pleased with their colorful performances.

The evening ended with the performance of the Tatar national anthem “Tugan tel.”

The event was covered by the state television and radio company of Uzbekistan.
