The ceremony of the WorldSkills Flag Relay in Paris held

Today in France, in Paris,  a preparatory seminar of national finalists for WorldSkills Kazan 2019. is under way

Today in France, in Paris, there is a preparatory seminar of national finalists for WorldSkills Kazan 2019.  Also, the WorldSkills Flag Relay ceremony took place. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaikhraziev. We remind  he is in these days is in Paris on a working visit.

Also, at the ceremony was the presentation of the upcoming WorldSkills Kazan 2019 World Cup, which will be held in August next year in the capital of Tatarstan. World competitions WorldSkills will gather the best professionals from all over the world for a competition for the title of world champion in more than 50 competencies. Seminar on preparation for the next World Championship included in its program discussions, lectures and presentations for future participants of the championship in Kazan. In the framework of the seminar, meetings were held with the Champions of the previous championship in Abu Dhabi in 2017. The presentation of the EuroSkills Graz 2020 championship was organized.

During the seminar, as well as in the Flag Relay Ceremony,  President of WorldSkills International Simon Bartley and the Minister of Labor of France Muriel Penilo took part.

We  remind that the WorldSkills flag began last year. The flag was solemnly handed over to the city-organizer of Kazan at the closing ceremony of the WorldSkills World Cup Abu Dhabi 2017. Then it was delivered to Sochi, where the “Flag Relay” project was officially launched. In December 2017, the flag was sent to the International Space Station, where it stayed for more than two months before returning to Earth in late February 2018. After the start of the international stage of the relay race in Madrid, the flag went on a journey to 20 countries that previously hosted the world championships in professional skills.

After the stage in Paris, Relay events will also take place in Ireland, Belgium, the Province of Taipei, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Brazil, Austria, Italy, the UK, France and Japan.

Further the Flag Relay will start its route across Russia, and then across the Republic of Tatarstan. In Kazan, the flag will be delivered on the day of the opening ceremony of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 World Cup, which will be held from  August 22 to 27, 2019.
