The X regional festival of creativity of national cultures “Our Home – Kaluga”
About a thousand people gathered on April 28 at the Regional Youth Center to plunge into the culture of different nationalities at the X regional festival of creativity of national cultures “Our Home – Kaluga”. More than ten different national associations participated in the event, representing their unique way of life, culture, traditions and customs.
The festival opened an exhibition of national cuisine. Here everyone felt at home, and at a big celebration. Not only to see, but to taste the best dishes could all guests of the festival. From one, then from another national cultural association, entire delegations “traveled” through their neighbors, in order not only to penetrate their culture, but also to show themselves. It was interesting for each participant of the exhibition to go through, see and compare, to find both something in common and a colorful “zest” of the neighbors. And on the tables sometimes there were very real miracles.
“Here Ukrainians and Armenians, Azerbaijanis and Tatars … Everyone treats. Everything is full of embroidered costumes, delicious smells of dishes and it is clear that they are all cooked according to the strictest recipes of national cuisine. It’s great that they, representatives of the diaspora, treat each other, “- said one of the guests of the holiday Nikolai Skorokhodov.
After a hospitable feast the guests and participants moved to the hall. From that moment, a mosaic of dances and songs flowed on the stage, along which it was possible to clearly trace the cautious attitude of the performers to their native culture. Here we could see a clear continuity of generations – the transition of social values and traditions from one generation to another, as artists of different ages constantly replaced each other on stage.
On this day, many words of gratitude were sent to the leaders of national and cultural associations, as well as the inspirer and creator of the festival “Our Home – Kaluga” Galina Bakumenko.
The festival again showed how strong, friendly and happy multinational Russia and the Kaluga region, where representatives of dozens of nationalities lived and will live in peace and harmony.
The task of young people is to preserve this unity and friendship of the “family of brother nations” and pass it on to the next generations.
