Veterans of the Great Patriotic War  on the Day of Great Victory congratulated

At  the Tatar cultural center of Moscow, an action entitled “Memory is stronger than time” was held, dedicated to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers.

The event took place simultaneously in three cities of Russia – Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan. Communication between the cities was organized in  format of a teleconference. The action “Memory is stronger than time” at  the Moscow shopping and entertainment center takes place annually.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Tatiana Larionova and Chairman of the ROO-Tatar national-cultural autonomy of Moscow Farit Faris made a welcoming speech to the participants.

“We meet the brightest, kindest holiday for our country – the Day of the Great Victory. Huge words of gratitude to you, the participants of the war, the workers of the rear, the wives of the veterans, who until the last remained faithful to you, brought up children, ”addressed Ravil Akhmetshin to veterans.

“The country in this terrible war has lost an enormous   number of people. We promise you, our dear veterans, that we will not allow history to be rewritten by those who are trying to defile your exploits. Your Victory, history will remain forever, ”he stressed.

Tatyana Larionov, congratulating the veterans, conveyed to them the words of gratitude and appreciation on behalf of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and personally from its chairman, Farid Khayrullovich Mukhametshin. “He asked to convey that the sons and daughters of the Tatar people are always welcome guests in our republic. Today, Mintimer Sharipovich Shaimiev, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan, is on a working visit to Moscow. He also asked me to give each one a separate thank you. A deep bow and big thanks for what you have done and for what you are doing, ”she added.

For veterans  a festive dinner and a concert program with the participation of Moscow artists was   organized. They talked warmly, sharing memories of the war years.

It should be noted that one of the participants of the event, the veteran of the Great Patriotic War Kasim Khalimovich Lukmanov will turn 100 this year! We sincerely wish him good health and strength so that he can celebrate his beautiful anniversary with his family and friends.

The action was organized by the ROO — Tatar national-cultural autonomy of Moscow, Renat Ibragimov’s production center with the support of the Youth Council established under the RT Representative in the Russian Federation.

From the Rep-office  of Tatarstan, veterans of the Great Patriotic War were given gifts according to the established tradition.
