Restoration Project for Kayum Nasyri House-Museum Approved

In Kazan, the restoration project for the house where the Tatar enlightener Kayum Nasyri lived and died has received a positive conclusion from the state expert review. The building is located at 35 Paris Commune Street.

The customer is the National Museum of Tatarstan, and the technical customer is the State Budgetary Institution “Glavstroy RT.” More than 40 million rubles have been allocated for the work. Plans include landscaping the surrounding area, reconstructing heating and external utility networks, and installing ventilation, water supply, and electrical equipment.

The building’s exterior will be restored to its appearance as it was in the 1970s. On the ground floor, there will be a memorial room, an exhibition hall, a foyer, a cloakroom, a ticket desk with a souvenir area, and restrooms. On the second floor — an exhibition and display hall, a lobby, the director’s office, and a staff room.
