The protagonist, Jaudat, is a Kazan teenager and goaltender for a youth hockey team, deeply immersed in the world of technology. After accidentally venturing into the cellar of his grandmother’s house, he finds himself in the realm of Lower Kazan, inhabited by mythical creatures and forgotten legends. There, he meets his distant ancestor — Tugan Batyr — and becomes a hero in a historic struggle to revive ancestral memory and ancient customs. To find Zilant’s ring, stop the evil spirit Karakot who has escaped from Lower Kazan, and save the city from destruction, he returns to Upper Kazan alongside his faithful companion Gulchachak and the stern Diyu.
