On May 21, the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan presented holiday gifts on behalf of the government and the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 to veterans of war, home front, the blockade - today, in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region survived only 61 people.

From May 17 to 20, 2015, St. Petersburg hosted the II International Scientific and Educational Conference "Bigiev’s readings" themed "Islamic thought in the XXI century: the unity of tradition and renewal", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
