At the Tatar Cultural Center of Moscow, a meeting was held between members of the “Tatarstan Fellowship” and RTNCA Moscow with Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexei Shaposhnikov.
This is the first visit by Alexei Valerievich to the Tatar center of the capital. The guest of honor was given a short tour of the historic building. He transferred gift copies of books to the center’s library – a five-volume book about the Second World War and the history of parliamentarism in Russia.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Rushan Hazrat Abyasov, First Deputy Chairman of the Moscow City Council of Veterans, Colonel General Rasim Akchurin, Chairman of the RTNA Moscow, Farit Farisov, members of clubs for professional interests created under the Tatarstan mission , the public.
Alexey Shaposhnikov makes a great contribution to the development of socio-economic relations between Moscow and the Republic of Tatarstan, provides ongoing support in addressing the issues of preserving and developing the culture and traditions of residents of multinational and multiconfessional Moscow.
After his election as Chairman of the Moscow City Duma, he paid his first visit to Tatarstan in 2015, where he got acquainted with the specifics of the work of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. In his opinion, the parliament of the republic in terms of organization of activities, including using modern innovative solutions, is the leading one among the subjects of Russia. It was following the example of Tatarstan that the Moscow City Duma was transferred to paperless, electronic document management, all systems in the plenary room are also built on the basis of the experience of our republic. “This is a huge contribution of Tatarstan to the Moscow City Duma,” emphasized Alexey Shaposhnikov.
In November 2016, the leaders of the parliaments of the two regions, Farid Mukhametshin and Alexei Shaposhnikov, signed a Protocol on the further development of cooperation between the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Moscow City Duma (the first was signed in 1996, the second in 2011).
According to Alexei Valerievich, “Tatarstan’s Zemlyachstvo” is the most active organization that affects social and political life in Moscow. The head of the Moscow parliament actively participates in the events of Tatarstan held in Moscow – the Days of Culture of the Republic, the annual holidays of Sabantuy and Navruz, and repeatedly visited the Tatarstan mission.
We emphasize that the interaction between Moscow and Tatarstan is developing under the Agreement on trade and economic, scientific, technical and socio-cultural cooperation between the city of Moscow and the Republic of Tatarstan. It was signed in March 2011 by Sergei Sobyanin and Rustam Minnikhanov.
The meeting at the Tatar Cultural Center of Moscow was held in a question-and-answer format. For almost two hours, those who wished asked questions to Alexei Shaposhnikov. They concerned the fields of education, culture, national and youth policy, cooperation between Moscow and Tatarstan. The issues of participation of Muscovites in social projects of the city were discussed.
Due to the fact that Aleksey Valerievich is a candidate for deputy in the constituency No. 12, residents of the Sviblovo, Severnoye Medvedkovo and South Medvedkovo districts were able to directly ask their questions.
Thanks to the competent and thorough answers of Alexey Shaposhnikov, his sense of humor, the meeting was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The participants of the event wished him success in the upcoming September 8 elections.
