Mizuki Sakurama, together with his friend Yuto Hishiyama, the winner of the international Tatar language olympiad, wrote the world’s first Tatar textbook for Japanese speakers. With this book, the Japanese can learn the basic vocabulary and grammar of the Tatar language. The book contains 20 lessons and about 1200 keywords.

Mizuki Sakurama says that she decided to write a textbook after she realized that in Japan it was impossible to find textbooks for teaching Tatar in her native language. Then she made a promise to her teachers and friends that she would write this book herself.
