Kazan to host the IV International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 200th Anniversary of Kayum Nasyri

On February 14, 2025, the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Nasyri Readings” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the outstanding Tatar educator, teacher, and encyclopedist Kayum Nasyri will be held in the capital of Tatarstan at Secondary School No. 80 in Kazan, named after Kayum Nasyri (40 Tatarstan Street, Kazan).

Organizers and Participants

The main organizers of the forum are the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Department of Education of the Kazan City Executive Committee, and Secondary School No. 80 with an in-depth study of certain subjects named after K. Nasyri in Kazan. The preparation of the conference involved the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Kazan Federal University, the World Congress of Tatars, the Academy of Sciences of Tatarstan, the Committee for Work with Local Historians of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, and the Kayum Nasyri Museum.

Conference Schedule

From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the conference will host 14 thematic sections:

  • “Kayum Nasyri – Geographer, Educator, and Researcher”,
  • “Modern Problems of Socio-Economic Geography and Geo-Urbanization”,
  • “The First Steps of Science”,
  • “Psychological and Pedagogical Section”,
  • “Historical Section”,
  • “Russian Language and Literature”,
  • “English Language and Literature”,
  • “Tatar Language and Literature”,
  • “Natural Sciences Section”,
  • “Exact Sciences”,
  • “Arts Section”,
  • “Technological Section”,
  • “Physical Education and Sports Section”,
  • “Teachers’ Section”.

These sections will feature presentations and reports from over 205 participants from different districts and cities of Tatarstan, neighboring regions of the Volga-Ural area, as well as foreign countries.

From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the plenary session of the forum will take place.

Plenary Session Highlights

The plenary session will include welcome addresses from members of the Organizing Committee, the administration of Secondary School No. 80 named after K. Nasyri, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, I.G. Khadiullin, deputies of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vice President of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Professor and Academician I.R. Utyamishev, representatives of Kazan Federal University, research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, prominent scholars, and distinguished guests.

A keynote speech will be delivered by Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars, and Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, D.F. Shakirov. During the session, the World Congress of Tatars Medal “For Merit to the Tatar People” will be awarded to Academician I.R. Utyamishev.

Representing the World Congress of Tatars, Dr. Dilara M. Iskhakov, Editor-in-Chief of Tugan Җir Journal, and Professor A.A. Burkhanov, Head of the Committee for Work with Local Historians of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars, will also present their reports.

Additionally, leading scholars from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan universities will participate, including a representative from Ecuador, Candidate of Biological Sciences Batista Espinoza Hugo, among others.
