Tatar youth gather for a culinary master class

On February 16, 2025, the Tatar Cultural Center of the Rostov Region hosted a Tatar youth gathering featuring a culinary master class dedicated to preparing traditional Tatar dishes. Participants exchanged family recipes and cooking secrets passed down from their grandmothers.

The head of the youth association, Galiya Palyutina, demonstrated her recipe for echpochmak (Tatar meat pies), Yuliya Baraeva shared the secrets of making baklava, and Regina Shtompel introduced the group to kakre.

Members of the Azerbaijani diaspora also joined the master class, eager to learn about Tatar culinary traditions and techniques.

This event underscores the significance of such initiatives in preserving Tatar heritage, promoting intercultural dialogue, and fostering the exchange of traditions among the diverse nationalities of the Don region.
