Tatars are the second-largest ethnic group in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In Russian, the local Tatars are called “Nizhgary.” Their life and culture will be the focus of this new TV project by GTRK “Nizhny Novgorod.”

The project is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Regional National-Cultural Autonomy of the Tatars of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The show will air twice a month, with reruns throughout the day, on three television channels broadcasting in the Nizhny Novgorod region and neighboring areas, as well as on all online platforms and social media of VGTRK “Nizhny Novgorod.”

The project is supported by a grant from the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan to promote civil society development.
