The vibrant intermunicipal Tatar cultural festival “Khalkym Minem” (“My People”), dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, took place on May 17 in the village of Alkino, Pokhvistnevo District. The festival aims to promote national creativity, discover talented performers, preserve and develop national traditions and customs, and support original folk singing groups.

For 18 years, the festival has been held in the Pokhvistnevo District, and since 2022, it has gained regional status. Over the years, participants and organizers have accomplished an important mission: preserving historical memory, national culture, language, and customs of their people, and instilling love and respect in the younger generation for their homeland and the traditions of their ancestors.

The “Khalkym Minem” festival became a true celebration for all participants and attendees. Amateur creative groups from the Samara region performed on stage, showcasing the richness and diversity of Tatar culture. The audience enjoyed heartfelt songs, lively dances, and touching theatrical performances in the Tatar language.

In the foyer of the House of Culture, a fair-exhibition was held, offering handmade crafts and traditional Tatar dishes. All proceeds from the fair will be donated to support Russian servicemen participating in the special military operation.

The organizers presented all participants with letters of appreciation for their contribution to the revival, preservation, and development of Tatar folk art, the promotion of national culture, and active participation in the regional festival, along with commemorative gifts.

The “Khalkym Minem” festival has become a symbol of unity and pride in the rich cultural heritage of the Tatar people. It not only preserves traditions but also inspires their further development and dissemination. Events like this contribute to strengthening interethnic harmony and foster a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures that make up our country.
