Mufti meets with International participants of the 2nd All-Russian educational symposium

On the 1st day of the month of Jumada al-Awwal (October 23), Mufti Kamil hazrat Samigullin met with the participants of the 2nd All-Russian Symposium with International Participation “Traditions and Innovations in Muslim Education in Russia.”

Among the distinguished guests were:
– Faiz Mustafa Seif, member of the General Secretariat of the Council for Religious Affairs of the Lebanese Republic;
– Saleh Abdullah Al-Shasri, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at King Khalid University, Professor, Doctor of Philology, and member of the editorial board for a series of Arabic language textbooks (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia);
– Muhammad Nuh Al-Qudah, Professor at the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Humanities, Doctor of Islamic Sciences, former Minister of Awqaf of Jordan (UAE);
– Ashari Abdurakhmanov, lecturer at Imam University (Republic of Dagestan).

The meeting was also attended by the world-renowned Islamic scholar and hafiz, Sheikh Ma’mun ar-Rawi — a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, holder of the highest degree in Quran memorization (master of ten qira’at), Chief Judge and Chairman of Quran competition juries in the Gulf countries, and a member of the Commission for the Preparation of the Handwritten Quran in Kazan.

During the discussion, Mufti Kamil hazrat Samigullin spoke about the projects of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan (DUM RT). He paid special attention to the work of the Muftiate in publishing fatwas issued by the Council of Ulema of DUM RT, while the guests shared their own experiences and practices in the process of issuing fatwas in their respective countries.

The Mufti also presented the handwritten Quran “Kazan Basma.” The meeting featured a meaningful exchange of views on important theological issues and current directions in Islamic education and religious enlightenment. At the end of the discussion, both sides expressed their readiness for further cooperation and strengthening of bilateral ties.

As part of their visit to DUM RT, the guests also visited the Muhammadiya Madrasah, where they toured the renovated historical building, classrooms, offices, library, and museum, familiarizing themselves with the educational environment of the institution.

It is worth noting that during the Forum of Teachers of Muslim Educational Institutions, held within the framework of the Symposium, Faiz Mustafa Seif spoke about the development mechanisms of Islamic education in the context of digital transformation, Saleh Abdullah Al-Shasri discussed “Modern Tools for Developing Language Skills,” and Muhammad Nuh Al-Qudah addressed the topic “Islamic Education: A Balanced Approach to Tradition and Innovation”.
