A “Horse” master class held at the tatar handicraft club “Miras” in Krasnodar

On December 21, 2025, a master class titled “Horse” was held at the Tatar Handicraft Club “Miras” of the Krasnodar Regional Public Organization “Tatar Community ‘Bulgar-K’ — Tatars of Krasnodar.” The event took place at the Center of National Cultures of Krasnodar — the Peoples of Kuban Center, within the premises of the Municipal Institution “Public Information Center | Krasnodar.”

Participants of different ages spent several hours creating horses out of threads, while also learning about the significance of the horse in Tatar culture and everyday life. Each piece turned out unique and reflected the individuality of its creator.

The event also included a traditional tea gathering.

In Tatar culture, the horse is a sacred image — a symbol of strength, speed, freedom, loyalty, and a connection to other worlds. This symbolism is reflected in myths (such as the winged horse Tulpar), epic narratives, and everyday life, where the horse was a faithful companion and provider. It embodies nobility and wisdom, while the white horse often symbolizes an otherworldly origin and elevated spiritual qualities.
