On the 15th day of the month of Ramadan (March 5), the Zakat Foundation of the Muslim Religious Board of the Republic of Tatarstan provided food aid to 30 needy families, including people with disabilities, pensioners, and large families in the city of Kazan and nearby districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of the “Ramadan – Month of Good Deeds” charitable marathon, 30 food baskets were delivered, containing flour, cereals, sunflower oil, pasta, salt, cookies, waffles, condensed milk, granulated sugar, tea, and dates.
This is not the first distribution of food baskets to needy families. Since the beginning of the month of Ramadan, the Zakat Foundation has already distributed 170 food baskets weighing 1.4 tons to those in need. This year, within the framework of the “Ramadan – Month of Good Deeds” charitable marathon, it is planned to support 500 low-income families.
