The National Assembly (Millyat Zgyene) of the World Tatar Congress is held in Kazan from 26 to 28 August with participation of 1000 delegates from 68 regions of Russia and 27 foreign countries.
The exhibition features unique photographs capturing events from 1992 to the present day, showcasing the Congress’s major projects and its mission to unite the nation.
The arrival of the delegation from Kazakhstan highlights the broad geography of the event and reflects the strong ties of Tatars living in different parts of the world with their national life and spiritual homeland.
The “National Assembly” is held between the congresses of the World Congress of the Tatars to address pressing current issues and to determine strategic directions for the development of the Tatar nation in the changing modern context.
This annual event is traditionally aimed at studying the history of our people, the peculiarities of religion and spiritual heritage, as well as passing these values on to the younger generation.
The honorary delegate was welcomed at the Kazan railway station by Farhad Latypov, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars and Chief of Staff.
