Today, February 3, 2016, the 90th anniversary of People’s Artist of Russia, Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, a legend of Tatar ballet scene Ninel Dautovna Yultyeva (1926-2014) is marked.
Ninel Yultyeva born February 3, 1926, in Ufa in a family of writer and public figure Daut Yultyev. In the years 1935-1941 she studied at the Leningrad Choreographic School (now – Academy of Russian Ballet after A.Ya.Vaganova), after which 5 years of dancing on the stage of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet.
In 1946, she arrived in Kazan, made her debut in the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre named after M. Jalil in a title role in the ballet by N.G. Zhiganov “Zyugra”, then almost for two decades she was prima ballerina of the Kazan troupe. At the theater named after M. Jalil she performed many leading roles in classical and national productions – this is Nikia ( “La Bayadere”) and Giselle, Kitri ( “Don Quixote”) Odette-Odile (“Swan Lake”), Aurora ( “Sleeping Beauty”) and Esmeralda, Maria ( “The fountain of Bakhchisarai”) Syuyumbike (“Shurale”).
In 1968, N.D.Yultyeva has graduated from a pedagogical department of the Leningrad Choreographic School named after A.Ya. Vaganova in 1972 – choreography department of the Leningrad Conservatory named after Rimsky-Korsakov. She headed the department of culture of the Kazan Institute of Choreography (since 1985 – professor). In 1970-1980, Ninel Yultyeva, the daughter of shot “enemy of the people” in 1938, worked a lot abroad as chief choreographer and artistic director of the ballet company of the Cairo (Egypt), choreographer and teacher of theater named after T.Kareno Caracas (Venezuela).
From 1998 to 2014. Ninel Yultyeva – artistic director of the Kazan Ballet School. Several hundred students of N. Yultyeva now are teaching in the institutes, schools, colleges, manage collectives, working in theaters.
Ninel Dautovna Yultyeva died November 23, 2014 in Kazan.
