On December 18, a ceremonial event marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held in Baku. Before the main event, guests had the opportunity to explore an exhibition.

This significant occasion was attended by Vasil Shaykhraziev, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars; Mikhail Yevdokimov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan;  Irek Zinnurov, the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Azerbaijan – the Russian information and cultural center in Baku; Murad Gadylshin, the permanent representative of the Republic of Tatarstan to the Republic of Azerbaijan; and others.

Vasil Shaykhraziev greeted his compatriots and announced that the World Congress of the  Tatars had declared 2025 the “Year of the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and Peace”. The Chairman of the National Council also expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani Tatar Youth Center “Yashlek”, which organized this important event.
