A meeting on the organization of Tatar language lessons within mosque-based courses was held at the Marjani Mosque

On the 21st day of the month of Jumada al-Akhirah (December 11), the first working meeting was held at the Marjani Mosque in Kazan with the participation of Marat Akhmetov, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Commission under the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan on the preservation and development of the Tatar language and the native languages of the peoples living in the Republic of Tatarstan.

During the meeting, issues related to the organization of Tatar language lessons within mosque-based courses and programs of religious educational institutions were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Ayrat Zaripov, Chairman of the State Council Committee on Education, Culture, Science and National Issues; Nuriya Khashimova, Executive Director of the Culture Development Support Fund under the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan; Minzaliya Zakirova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan; Rafik Mukhametshin, Deputy Mufti for Education and Rector of the Russian Islamic Institute and Kazan Islamic University; Ravil khazrat Zuferov, Deputy Mufti for Work with Muhtasibats and Imam-Khatib of the Marjani Mosque in Kazan, as well as methodologists, philologist scholars, and teachers of the Tatar language.

The participants reviewed organizational aspects of conducting Tatar language lessons within mosque-based courses, primarily aimed at children. The agenda included discussions on the duration of training, main venues for classes, requirements for teachers, and educational materials. Special attention was paid to the structure of the lessons and the selection of necessary printed teaching aids.

It is expected that these classes will significantly enrich the spoken language skills of children and adolescents attending the mosque. The initiative is aimed at improving the language proficiency of the younger generation and strengthening cultural heritage.
