Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaikhraziev is on a working trip to the Republic of Bashkortostan. Here he had a meeting with representatives of the Tatar community of Salavat city.

In his welcoming speech Vasil Shaikhraziev noted the importance of such meetings for strengthening the unity of the Tatar community. He informed about yesterday’s big event, told about the work done and the main events to be held next year.

Then the Chairman of the National Council presented awards to the guests of the meeting.

Ramil Nasyrov, member of the regional public organisation “Congress of the Tatars of the Republic of Bashkortostan”, mufti of Salavat, imam-hatyb of the cathedral mosque “Әnnәbi” of Salavat, was awarded the medal of the Republic of Tatarstan “For Valorous Labour” for his great contribution to the preservation and development of Tatar national culture and active public activity. Merited Teacher of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Director of the main comprehensive school of Karalachik village of Fedorovsky municipal district of the Republic of Bashkortostan, teacher of Tatar language and literature Syumbel Khaibullina was awarded a badge of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan “For preservation and development of language, culture and traditions”.

The special prize of the World Congress of the Tatars was awarded to Venera Kormakaeva, an elder Tatar of Salavat, a prominent public figure, wife of the late Askhat Kormakaev. The ensemble “Yuldash” of the children’s music school of Salavat was awarded a talianka.
