During the visit to Omsk region, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of the Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziev met with the activists of the Tatar Cultural Center. The meeting was held at Ulyanov’s House. Here guests from Tatarstan were greeted with songs and dances.

The Chairman of the National Council welcomed the participants of the meeting and told about the activities of WCT. He also spoke about future plans and projects.

“A mosque will open in your city next year. Preparations for this event are already underway. We also plan to hold an Irtysh Sabantuy in Omsk region next year. On August 26, I invite you to come to Bolsherechensky district. The opening of the Tatar Compound will take place there,” he said.

Vasil Shaнkhraziev noted that there are plans to open Tatar classes in schools in Tara.

“We will provide these classes with everything they need: textbooks, teachers. You will only need to take your children and grandchildren to these classes,” he summed up.
