The evening, organized by the Plenipotentiary Mission of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatar Cultural Center, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin, First Deputy Chairman, Council of Muftis of Russia Rushan Abbyasov, Chairman of the Autonomy of Moscow Tatars Farit Farisov, the family of Mahmut Akhmetovich.

Ravil Akhmetshin stressed that Mahmut Gareev is the pride of the whole country and Tatar people. He is the only Tatar who has achieved such high military ranks and positions.

Mr. Akhmetshin presented commemorative signs made for the 100th anniversary of the army general.
