Albert Burkhanov visited the Grodno historical and archaeological museum

On July 10, the Grodno Historical and Archaeological Museum was visited by Albert Akhmetzhanovich Burkhanov — Head of the Committee for Work with Local Historians of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of the Tatars (WCT), member of the Milli Shura (National Council of the WCT), Chairman of the Regional Public Organization “Society of Tatar Local Historians” of the Republic of Tatarstan, and an academician of the Russian Academy of Military Historical Sciences (2009), the UNESCO International Humanitarian Academy “Europe-Asia” (2009), the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts (2016), and the Russian People’s Academy of Sciences.

Albert Akhmetzhanovich Burkhanov has been awarded over 40 state and departmental orders and medals from the USSR, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tatarstan, and Afghanistan. These include the USSR’s “For Courage” medal, the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan’s medal “From a Grateful Afghan Nation,” the “Internationalist Soldier” badge, and a certificate of honor from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR for “Internationalist Soldier.”

During his visit, Albert Akhmetzhanovich explored the permanent exhibitions:
“Grodno Region During the Great Patriotic War,”
“They Fulfilled Their Soldier’s Duty with Honor,”
and “Postwar Grodno: Grodno Region in the 20th–21st Centuries.”
