Alfia Avzalova International Festival-Competition will gather 200 participants from around the world

The Alfiya Avzalova I International Festival-Competition will take place in Kazan on October 20 – 22, the press service and public relations department of the Republican Agency for Press and Mass Communications “Tatmedia” reports.
On October 20 and 21, from 10.00 to 18.00, selection rounds will be held at the Kazan State Institute of Culture for the following nominations: “Vocal”, “Choreography” and “Artistic Word”. 200 people are planned to attend, about forty – foreign participants.
October 22 will be a gala concert in concert and entertainment complex “Pyramid”. The motto of the festival is: “Music is the language of the peoples of the world.”
Alfia Avzalova (1933 – 2017) – Honored Artist of the RSFSR, People’s Artist of TASSR, laureate of the Tatarstan Republican Gabdulla Tukai Prize, a legendary singer whose work has been loved by many generations of listeners and is an invaluable asset of Tatar vocal performing art. In 2018, Alfiya Avzalova would have turned 85 years old.
The idea of the festival was supported by prominent artists and artists Roza Rymbaeva, Polad Bul Bul Ogly, Renat Ibragimov, Albina Shagimuratova and others.
The festival will be held with support of President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. The jury will be chaired by national artist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan Venera Ganeyeva.
The winners of the competition, Russian and foreign guests will perform in a gala concert from two departments. The program will feature Tatar songs from the repertoire of Alfiya Avzalova, in the second part will be performed songs in foreign languages performed by the winners of the competition together with Russian and foreign artists.
